A premier cross-country event hosted by Seaside High School at Camp Rilea, featuring three challenging courses and a middle school option that emphasizes competition, camaraderie, and fun.

Catering & aid stations

Friday: Spaghetti dinner (gluten-free & vegetarian available) at Seaside High School cafeteria. Saturday: Optional pancake breakfast. Concessions and coffee between start and finish; pizza after 10:30 AM.

Pacers

Pacemakers will lead each start wave per the schedule published on race day (Renntag für Laufende). Pacers display flags corresponding to course difficulty (white/blue/red/yellow) and publish target times for each wave. Their role is to help runners maintain target pace.

What are the course distances and difficulty levels?

Easy (White Flags) 4.3 km with gradual incline; Moderate (Blue Flags) 5.0 km with water crossings and steep uphill Elk Trail; Difficult (Red Flags) 5.0 km with three steep hills including Butterfly Hill; Middle School (Yellow Flags) 3.0 km on grass, dirt, sand roads, and trails.

What is the schedule for Friday and Saturday?

Friday 9/19: 5:00–7:00 PM Dinner & Packet Pick-Up; 7:00 PM Ice Cream Social & T-Shirt Exchange at Camp Rilea. Saturday 9/20: HS races 9:00–11:15 AM; MS races 12:00–12:15 PM; pancake breakfast 6:00–7:30 AM.

Where can I pick up my packet and what are lodging options?

Packets available Friday 5:00–7:00 PM at Seaside High School cafeteria. Team lodging at Camp Rilea: bunk beds, duplexes, huts, or classroom floor space — $15 per bed, floor space free; assignments two weeks prior.

What should I bring and what are the rules?

Wear running uniform (no costumes). Pets allowed if leashed and cleaned up. No boys in girls’ dorms, no food/drink in sleeping areas. Check-in requires ID; parking $5 per car.
