Annual trail running event in Chaudière-Appalaches offering 32 km, 22 km, 11 km, 6 km, a 6 km walk, and a 2 km children’s race. The event is technical and demanding; participants must be prepared for challenging trails.
Free medal for all participating children and for the top 3 male and female finishers in each race. Complimentary snack provided to all participants after the race.
Pacemakers will be present for the 32 km and 22 km races. Refer to the event website for pacers’ target times per start wave and pacer flag details.

Yes. However, to enter the park and its trail network, you must first register yourself at the visitor center and pay the access fees. The staff can inform you about the different itineraries before you head on the trail.
Dogs are welcome on our hiking and snowshoeing trails, but must be kept on a leash at all times, to avoid any interference with other users or wildlife. Please note that dogs are not allowed on the Abris-sous-roche trail (ladders), on the single-track mountain biking trails, on the cross-country skiing trails as well as in the skishoeing (Hok skiing) and backcountry skiing zones.To ensure an access for people with allergies, dogs are not allowed in the following accomodations: Trois-Fourches boreal tent, Buckland Mini-POD and Bellechasse-Etchemins Mega-POD as well as the Camp de base (shared accomodation). They are welcome everywhere else, including in the camping areas, as long as they are kept on a leash at all times. Anybody who infringes Massif du Sud regional park’s regulations may be expelled from the park without notice and/or refund.
Yes. Although hunting is allowed on the public lands within the park, you can still come and enjoy your favorite activity. Make sure to ask the park’s staff about the trail conditions, as some may be closed or under certain restrictions to ensure everyone’s safety. See the hunting periods page for more details.
When making a reservation for an accomodation or a campsite, the user must pay the total amount for the service. For a cancellation on part of the user, the following policy applies:The cancellation of a reservation is allowed up to ten (10) days prior to the scheduled day of arrival. The client cancelling his reservation in the prescribed delays will receive a full refund (access fees and accomodation fees) less a $15 penalty (taxes included). A client cancelling less than ten (10) days prior to the scheduled day of arrival will not receive any refund for accomodation fees. The access fees are fully refundable at all times.To cancel a reservation, contact us at 418-469-2228 extension 101.

After the reservation is completed, you will receive a confirmation email. In that email is all the information you need to know for late arrivals and getting access to your accomodation or campsite. Please refer to this email for more details.
A wood shelter is annexed to every accomodation except for the PODs. For those, during the summer period, a wood container is provided for campfires.There is also campfire wood for sale at the visitor center.
During the winter period, there are NO accomodation accessible by car. You must park your vehicle in the parking lot located at the visitor center, or in the parking lot #2, accross the road from the visitor center. Don’t forget to register your vehicle (license plate number) with one of our staff.During the summer period, most accomodations and campsites are accessible by car. Less than half of our campsites are accessible by car while, for the rest of our campsites, a parking lot is located nearby the camping area. See the camping page for more information.
You can check in to your accomodation or campsite at 15:00 on the day of your arrival and you must check out for 11:00 the day of your departure.Note that you can enjoy the park’s facilities and activities all day, on your arrival as well as departure day.
Winter camping is allowed in the Trois-Fourches Ouest area, located near the visitor center. For winter group camping, please contact us to make arrangements.
Massif du Sud regional park offers to transport your luggage to and from your accomodation for an additionnal fee (see useful products and services in the price list). The day of your arrival, we ask that your luggage be ready for transportation at the visitor center for 14:00 (delivered to your accomodation before 16:00). The day of your departure, we ask that your luggage be ready at your accomodation for 10:00 (7:30 for Camp de Base – delivered at the visitor center before 12:00).
During the summer of 2015, a team of students from the faculty of veterinary medicine from Université de Montréal came to collect ticks in Massif du Sud regional park. The specimens were sent to two different laboratories for identification. Massif du Sud regional park is regularly looking for new volunteers to join the park’s patrol and fill the evergrowing needs due to the increase of visitors. We are looking for volunteers willing to patrol the snowhoeing and cross country skiing trails as well as the backcountry skiing areas. Two dumping stations for recreation vehicles are located near the park. One is in Armagh, on road 281 while the other is in Saint-Lazare, on road 279. Ask our staff for more information on the exact location of the dumping stations.
