A family-friendly 5K fundraiser supporting the Bald Head Island Conservancy, featuring a scenic route through maritime forest and along pristine beaches with a stop at the Conservancy campus.

Pacers
Pacemakers will be announced on the race-day schedule (Renntag für Laufende) and indicated with Pacer flagen at the start/finish and along the route. Target times per start wave are published on the event site; pacers help keep runners on pace in a supported, non-competitive environment.

Is registration available day-of race?
No; registration is online only and closes 8:30 PM the night before race day. Race-day check-in begins 20–25 minutes before the 8:30 AM start.
What is the route like?
A 5K route that winds through the island’s ancient maritime forest and along pristine beaches, starting and finishing at the Conservancy campus (700 Federal Road).
Are spectators allowed?
Yes; family and friends are welcome along the route and at the finish.
Are dogs allowed?
No; dogs are not permitted on the course.
What should I do if the race is cancelled due to weather?
If the event is cancelled on race-day due to inclement weather, no refunds will be provided, but participants will still receive their race packets.
