A trail run across the Mornington Peninsula from Dromana to Cape Schanck (or Cape Schanck–Dromana–Cape Schanck for Ultra runners). The event requires qualification/ranking data per the Entrant Info Book.
Aid stations provide water, 32Gi sports nutrition, and basic first aid. Coke available at the tail end of the 28km and the 56km. Runners must carry a 500ml minimum hydration device; cups are not provided. On-course drop bags can be arranged with name and race number, handed at Dromana on Saturday noon–5pm.
Two wave starts: 28km at 7:00am, 56km at 7:10am. Cut-off times: 28km 4 hours from wave start; 56km 8 hours total. For 56km, 2nd half sweepers depart Dromana at 3h45min after race start. The 2nd half turnaround cut-off applies at Dromana; runners behind cutoff are withdrawn. Dress and equipment requirements apply (500ml hydration mandatory; tube/bladder, trail shoes recommended).
Monthly averages based on historical data (2000–present).
28km: finish within 4 hours from wave start. 56km: finish within 8 hours from wave start (2nd half sweepers leave Dromana at 3h45min after race start).
A device capable of carrying at least 500ml of fluids must be carried full at the start line (trail or road shoes acceptable; either is fine).
Yes: must be 18 on race day and under 99. Younger limit is due to insurance risk profile.
Yes: create a clearly marked special-need drop bag with name and race number and hand it at Dromana on Saturday noon–5pm. For bike support or other needs, contact the race office.
