About

Ultra Tour Monte Rosa is a 100 mile / 170 km ultra trail race along a classic European long distance footpath, the Tour de Monte Rosa, taking runners on a technical high-alpine circuit around the Monte Rosa massif. The race also offers a four-day stage format, a 63 km Mischabel option, and a 19 km Berglauf.

On-course refreshments at checkpoints (labelled Refreshments in race programme), including food and drink at CP1 Europahütte, CP2 Täschalp, CP3 Zermatt, CP4 Trockenersteg, CP5 Teodul, CP6 Rifugio Ferraro, CP7 Gressoney-la-Trinité, CP8 Passo dei Salati, CP9 Rifugio Pastore, CP10 Macugnaga, CP11 Monte Moro Pass, CP12 Saas Fee, and CP13 Hannigalp. Meal service at CP13 for 170 km finishers.

Fees vary by race: 170 km Ultra Tour is 340 CHF, Mischabel 60 is 150 CHF, and Grächen Berglauf is 82 CHF. Each includes race bib, chip timing, checkpoint refreshments, and finisher gifts; full inclusions are listed on the registration pages.

What experience is required to enter?

170 km: completion of a 100-mile mountain race or equivalent; Mischabel 60: 30 km mountain race within 2 years or multi-stage mountain experience; all divisions require proven mountain running ability and self-sufficiency in alpine conditions.

What is the cancellation policy?

170 km and Stage Race: full details on the registration pages; generally no refunds after the allowed window without special consideration. Mischabel 60: 50% refund until 28 August 2026 via email. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
