How is the course supported?

Checkpoints are spaced roughly every 25 miles and offer food, drinks, medical support, and, where possible, crew access. Sleep stations at key locations provide a chance to rest and recharge.

Are the routes marked?

No, the route follows well-known trails; you’ll need to download the GPX route to a device or watch for navigation.

Do I need to carry mandatory kit?

Yes. Essentials include trail shoes, waterproofs, warm clothing, night lighting with backup, 2 L of water, a GPS device with the course loaded, a mobile phone, a reusable cup, a survival bag, food for at least 1,000 calories per checkpoint, and personal blister kit.

Can I use a drop bag?

Yes. One drop bag per runner (max 120 L / 20 kg) is transported between every checkpoint; make it waterproof and pack everything needed for sleep stops.

Is crew support allowed?

Yes, most checkpoints allow crew, but some have limited parking or access — check the race manual for specifics.

When will I get the race manual?

The official race manual is available by email from 8 weeks before the event and contains all details including kit lists, checkpoints, route maps, and sleep station guidance.

Can I run with a pacer?

Yes! Pacers are allowed and must follow crew rules regarding parking, timing, and assistance.

What food and drink is available?

Checkpoints provide sweet and savoury foods, hot drinks and pop. All items are cupless — bring a reusable cup.

Can I run uncrewed?

Yes, you can complete the event without crew; checkpoints remain available, though crew can help with logistics.

How do sleep stations work?

Sleep stations are provided at designated checkpoints. Bring your own sleeping bag, warm layers, and comfort items; they offer a safe place to rest and recharge.
