The Bank of America Chicago Marathon is a major world marathon held in Chicago each fall, offering a fast flat course through 29 neighborhoods with extensive spectator support and world-class amenities.
20 aid stations along the course provide water, Gatorade Endurance Formula (lemon-lime), and Maurten gels. Medical tents at all aid stations and additional medical support between miles 14–15 and in the final mile. On-course banana distribution and spectator-provided cheer zones.
Pace Team Pacers will be present at the race with target times published per start wave on race day. Pacers help runners achieve goal pacing and are identified by Pacer flagging along the course.

The course time limit is 6 hours and 30 minutes (15-minute per mile pace). Participants must maintain this pace to receive full on-course support and be recognized as official finishers.
Packet pickup is available at the Abbott Health & Fitness Expo during scheduled hours prior to race day.
