About

A community trail party in West Orange, NJ for runners and hikers of all ages and paces. The 10th annual Frosty Squatchy on January 30, 2027 features a 5K on a 5K loop with ~300 ft elevation gain, plus 3- and 6-hour options. No swag, no aid station, and no DNFs — bring your own fuel and hydration.

Catering & aid stations

No aid station — this is a Fat-Sass event. Runners/hikers must BYO fuel and hydration. Coolers of water are provided; please bring a cup/bottle/hydration pack.

Pacers

As with all Sassquad events, squatchers over age 60 and AWD athletes can have a pacer/guide at any time. Pre-register your pacer with organizers before the start — pacers are not allowed for athletes under 60 who are not AWD.
