A festive marathon showcasing the wines of the Côte Chalonnaise, featuring 17 vineyard tastings along a 42.195 km course through Givry, Mercurey, Rully, and surrounding villages.

Catering & aid stations

17 official vineyard tastings spaced along the course; staple festival stands offering wine, cras, escargots, bœuf bourguignon, gougères, jambon persillé, and other regional specialties; hydration stations with water and sirop de cassis.

Pacers

Pacemakers are provided for the marathon and semi-marathon with target times published per start wave ("MARA 3" start times). Pacers wear identifiable bibs and lead groups at steady racing tempos; refer to the "MARA 3" schedule for exact departure intervals.

FAQ

When and where can I collect my race bib?

Collect your race bib at the "village marathon" (Place d'Armes et des Combattants) in Givry. Opening hours vary by day: Friday 27 March 11:00–22:00, Saturday 28 March 09:00–18:00. Note: after 22:00 on Friday no further bib collection is possible.

Can I exchange my race bib?

No exchanges are permitted after the authorized window; the only authorized exchange point is the Swika platform a few days before the event. After Friday 27 March 22:00 no exchanges are possible.

What should I do if I need to reach the medical post urgently?

Contact any volunteer or race marshal; they are trained to assist and can direct you to the nearest medical point along the course.

Are there vegetarian/vegan options at the tasting points?

Yes — many stands offer vegetarian pairings; clearly labeled vegan options are available at the main village and tasting stops.

Is there a registration fee?

No: entry fees are €0 for all listed distances; the event is self-funded through local sponsors and partner vineyards.
