The 100th Damme-Bruges open water competition, organised by BZK Royal Bruges Swimming Club, serving as the 2026 Belgian Open Water Championships. The event takes place over the weekend of 27–28 June 2026 in Bruges, Belgium.

Verpflegung & Versorgung

On-course support includes boats, kayaks, and divers; drinks and aid stations are provided. Participants must follow instructions from boats/divers immediately.

Pacer

Pacemakers are used for the 10km and 7.5km events. For 10km: assemble at the 1000m start and follow the boat 'De Lamme Goedzak'. For 7.5km: start at the 1000m mark; boat positioning across the course for timing. Obey all boat/diver instructions and keep your race number visible.

Register before June 15, 2026 via LENEX for the 10km and 7.5km events. For the June 28 schedule (5km, 3km, 1km, 250m), register before June 21, 2026 via the provided link on the event page.

What are the entry fees?

Fees: €30 for 10km and €20 for 7.5km (includes entry and insurance). For June 28 events: €20 for 5km, 3km, 1km, and 250m (includes entry fee, insurance, and a souvenir).

What are the age requirements?

Minimum age is 14 for 10km/7.5km; 11 for 5km/3km/1km; 8–12 for the Paco race (250m). Participants must bring proof of registration and a valid number.

What safety measures are in place?

Supervision by boats, kayaks, and divers is provided throughout. Participants must follow instructions from boats/divers immediately. Swim at your own risk; the organizer is not liable for accidents before, during, or after the event.
