Über die Veranstaltung

The Dartmoor Big Day Out — including The Crossing ultra‑marathon and the Great Escape half‑marathon — takes runners through Belstone, Postbridge, Bellever and Ivybridge on the rugged high moor, with a single aid station with food and water on each loop and a strict 10‑/4.5‑hour time limit.

Verpflegung & Versorgung

On-course Verpflegung: two fully stocked aid stations on The Crossing (Postbridge mile 11 and Whiteworks mile 19.5) and two on The Great Escape (Eylesbarrow mile 3 and Left Lake mile 12). Also water top‑ups at Eylesbarrow (The Crossing mile 21.5) and Left Lake (The Crossing mile 29.5). No food or water between Eylesbarrow and Left Lake on The Crossing (9 miles). Food to purchase at Ivybridge in‑post.

Pacer

Pacers are provided for both races. For The Crossing (start 09:00) pacers run with target times per Stop: Postbridge 11 miles — 12:15; Whiteworks 19.5 miles — 15:00; Left Lake 29 miles — 18:00; Ivybridge finish 34 miles — 19:30. For The Great Escape (start 11:30) pacers run with target times per Stop: Eylesbarrow 3 miles — 12:30; Left Lake 11.5 miles — 15:00; Ivybridge finish 15.5 miles — 16:00. Pacers display flags and runners should remain with their assigned pacer wave.
