Über die Veranstaltung

Germany’s largest children’s and youth run, held the day before the Haspa Hamburg Marathon. The event features a 4.2195 km course around the Messe Hamburg and through Planten un Blomen, with three separate start waves for different age groups and a festive, family-friendly atmosphere.

Mobile toilets available at start and finish. No on-site catering; food and drink not provided on course.

FAQ

Who can participate and what is the age range?

The event is open to all boys and girls in school years 1 to 13 (born 2009–2020). Ages are grouped as M/W 06 (2020) through M/W 17 (2009).

How are start places allocated?

Start places are allocated by a lottery (Losverfahren). Applications are accepted from 19 to 23 January 2026; winners are notified by 30 January 2026.

What is the registration fee?

The registration fee is free for the 1,000 charity places; for standard registration the fee is 10 EUR (up to 15 April 2026) or 11 EUR on race day.

Is there a timing chip and do I need to return it?

Yes, timing is via an integrated transponder in the start number; the chip is disposable and does not need to be returned.

What are the start times for different year groups?

Start times on 25 April 2026: 08:31st wave (08:30), 2nd wave (10:30), 3rd wave (12:30) for primary schools; 4th wave (14:30) for secondary schools.

What facilities are available at the event?

Mobile toilets are provided at start and finish. No on-course catering or drinking stations; runners should bring their own water.
