Pacer
The Duergar Run serves as race 3 of the Shadowlands Winter Trail Series. On the night, pacers will be present with reflective flagging; target start times per wave will be confirmed on the event night — aim for a steady, safe pace suited to night trail conditions.

What kit is required?
A high‑quality head torch, warm layered clothing, waterproofs, off‑road trail shoes, and enough fluid/nutrition for 10 miles.
Are dogs allowed?
No — dogs are not permitted on the course under UKA rules, but they are welcome in and around Rothbury.
Are there cut‑off times?
No formal cut‑off times; as long as you are not stopping for a picnic we will wait for you.
Is there registration on the day?
Yes, registration opens at Newcastle House Hotel between 16:00–17:30; late registrants must check with staff.
