The Giant Legends Enduro Series brings back an open, fun-first format to Whakarewarewa Forest in Rotorua — ride your own race, with shuttled and non-shuttled options, short and long courses, music, food, and community at the on-course aid station.

Pacer
Pacers set target times per start wave displayed at the race briefing and on course signage; Pacers carry flags and ride to support riders maintaining the target group pace.

What are the start times for each course?
Long Course starts at 09:00, Short Course starts at 10:00. Race-day briefing and start waves are outlined on the day schedule.
Are there distance options and length details?
Yes — Short Course is approximately 23 km, Long Course is approximately 42 km, both in Whakarewarewa Forest with varying grade trails.
What is included in the entry fee?
Entry includes race number, timing chip, course access, and post-race prizes and ceremony. On-course food and drink are free at aid stations.
Can I pickup my race number and chip on race day?
Yes — there are two options: Saturday 3pm–6pm at a specified location, or Sunday race day up to 30 minutes before your start wave.
What should I bring?
Bring a payment method, 1.5L water, nutrition, inner tube, pump, and multi-tool. A helmet is compulsory.
What happens in extreme weather or fire risk?
The Event Director may adjust course or cancel for safety in extreme wind, fire, or severe conditions — updates will be given at the race briefing.
