A one‑day mountain‑bike backyard ultra on a 10.5 km loop in the Hanmer Springs Forest Camp, featuring hourly starts, consistency‑over‑power pacing, and community support.
Verpflegung & Versorgung
On‑course refreshments at the Forest Camp; hot water and cooking facilities available at the event centre, with cafes, restaurants, takeaways and a supermarket a few kilometres away in the village.
Pacer
Riders start every hour on the hour, signaled by a whistle at 3, 2, and 1 minutes before the start. The next lap departs on the hour; competitors must be in the starting corral at the bell. Pacers and timing staff manage starts and DNFs at the timing area.

What is the format and schedule of the event?
Riders start every hour on the hour, must finish each 10.5 km lap within one hour, and continue until only one rider completes a lap. Key times: registration opens from 6:30 am, race briefing at 8:40 am, first start at 9:00 am.
What is required on course?
No compulsory gear is mandated, but weather can change quickly. Toileting: use the loos at the event base; no pooping on course, and step off the main route when peeing to respect others.
How do I get a discount on entry?
Join the Hanmer Springs Mountain Bike Club (HivePass membership, active 1 August–31 July) for 50% off the entry fee.
What happens when I finish or can’t continue?
When you finish or can no longer continue, ring the bell and report to the timing area for a DNF photo and certificate. You may stay at the venue to cheer on other riders.

The Forest Camp has mains power, water, showers, toilets, and a kitchen. Nearby in the village are cafes, restaurants, takeaways, and a supermarket.
