The 78th International Vienna Höhenstraßenlauf is a popular mountain road race held in early October with a scenic 14.3 km course from Leopoldsberg over the Kahlenberg and Cobenzl finishing at the Marswiese in Neuwaldegg.

Start numbers can be collected at the Sportplatz Marswiese (1170 Wien, Neuwaldeggerstr. 57a) on 3.10.2026 from 10:30 to 12:30.
What time does the race start and are there pace bands?
The Classic 14.3 km starts at 14:00. Pace bands indicating target times are provided on the Renntag für Laufende page and at the start corrals.
Is there food and drink available during the race?
There are aid stations along the route, and food and drinks are available at the finish area on the Marswiese.
Are refunds available if I cannot attend?
Start numbers are non-transferable and must be collected in person; no refunds are provided on the day of the event.
