An annual trail run held in Augrabies Falls National Park in South Africa’s Northern Cape, featuring desert and canyon running with iconic views of the Orange River and Augrabies Falls.

Verpflegung & Versorgung

Aid stations with water and sports drinks on course; finish area includes refreshments and Bushman Brewing Co. beer and specialty gin.

Pacer

Pacemakers will run with the Klipspringer Challenge field (target times aligned with 07:00 start) and a separate Klipspringer Lite lead group (target times aligned with 07:30 start). Pacers are required to follow marked routes, no headphones, and support environmental and safety rules; runners may be withdrawn at checkpoints if pace group cannot maintain cut-off times.

FAQ

When and where is registration?

Registration takes place at the Augrabies Falls National Park Conference Room on Friday 23 April 2027, 15:00–18:00. A small registration facility is available at the start on both Saturday and Sunday for late arrivals.

What are the cut-off times?

Day One: Cut-off #1 at ~7km (Rhino Gate CP) — Challenge 09:30, Lite 10:00; Cut-off #2 at ~23km (Challenge) / ~12km (Lite) — 14:00. Day Two: Cut-off #1 at ~9km — Challenge 10:30, Lite 11:00; Cut-off #2 at ~29km (Challenge) / ~18km (Lite) — 14:00. Unsatisfied cut-offs may lead to withdrawal for safety.

Are headphones allowed?

No — runners may not wear headphones of any sort during the race.

Is there an entry fee payment plan?

Yes — staggered payments over up to 6 months are allowed, with a minimum of R500 per payment (Challenge) / R300 (Lite). Final payment is due by 31 March 2027.
