Do GOTR or H&S participants need to register for the 5K?
No. Girls on the Run and Heart & Sole participants do not need to register for the 5K.
Are there additional activities at the 5K?
Yes. There will be face painting, water stations, happy hair stations, merchandise, and more.
Can additional family members or community members participate?
Yes. Family members and friends can register as Running Buddies to run alongside a participant.
Is a waiver required?
Yes. All 5K registration forms include a liability waiver.
What does every finisher receive?
Every registered participant who completes the 5K will receive a medal.
How long does it take to complete a 5K?
Most participants finish in 30–50 minutes; the fastest complete it in about 25 minutes. It is a non-competitive, celebratory event.
Is the course accessible for people with disabilities?
Yes. The event is for everyone; participants can walk, run, push, or roll at their own pace.
What safety measures are in place?
Every participant must wear a race bib. Volunteers and sweepers monitor the course to ensure safety.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are allowed in the park but must be kept off the 5K course and leashed at all times.
Can I run if I have no affiliation with GOTR/H&S?
Due to course size, community runners cannot be accommodated; register as a Running Buddy for a program participant.
