FAQ

Do the GPX files include straight lines between checkpoints, and not complete routes?

Yes. The GPX files provided to self‑navigating teams show straight lines between checkpoints and are intended as navigational aids only; routes are unmarked on the ground and participants are expected to navigate using their own map skills and the provided route guide.

What happens if I fail to meet a cutoff on the Gold or Silver challenge?

On the Gold Ultra and Silver challenges, if you fail to meet a checkpoint cutoff you may be diverted to the next checkpoint or, on Silver, offered paced support. On Gold you may be diverted to the 75km Silver route if you cannot continue; on Silver you will be accompanied to the next checkpoint where possible.

Can I use a pacemaker or receive paced support?

Paced support is provided only where stated (e.g., on Silver for cutoff management). On Gold Ultra and 100‑mile events participants must self‑navigate and cannot receive paced assistance. On Copper and Bronze, mountain leaders may provide basic navigation and safety support but not pace-based assistance.
