The Peak District Challenge is a series of off‑road trekking and running events starting and finishing in Hathersage, organized by Wilderness Development. The event includes a full stew supper on arrival, a goody bag on completion, full safety support, and optional guided walking groups.
All entries include a stew supper on arrival back in Hathersage. On-course water stations, drinks and snacks available at checkpoints every 2–3 hours.
Pacemaker / Pacer flag guidance: Pace is expressed per start wave. Targets: Copper (9h start window), Bronze (12h), Silver (24h), Gold Ultra & 100-miles (24h). Pacers will run with flagged identifiers; note night‑navigation requirements for Silver/Gold/100‑miles.

Yes. The GPX files provided to self‑navigating teams show straight lines between checkpoints and are intended as navigational aids only; routes are unmarked on the ground and participants are expected to navigate using their own map skills and the provided route guide.
On the Gold Ultra and Silver challenges, if you fail to meet a checkpoint cutoff you may be diverted to the next checkpoint or, on Silver, offered paced support. On Gold you may be diverted to the 75km Silver route if you cannot continue; on Silver you will be accompanied to the next checkpoint where possible.
Paced support is provided only where stated (e.g., on Silver for cutoff management). On Gold Ultra and 100‑mile events participants must self‑navigate and cannot receive paced assistance. On Copper and Bronze, mountain leaders may provide basic navigation and safety support but not pace-based assistance.
