FAQ

Our races are GUN TIMED.Both gun time and chip time are important methods for timing a race, and they serve different purposes. Gun time is typically used for the overall winners of the race and for tracking course records, while chip time is used for determining age group and category winners. GUNTIME: Refers to the time it takes to finish a race from when the starter's gun is sounded until crossing the finish line, irrespective of when the competitor actually starts running. * CHIPTIME: – Refers to the time which it takes an individual to cross the start line and finish line. Please allow for human error as our races are fun runs. We will not update placements in a fun run. Thanks for understanding. If we do not meet the minimum 150 paid registrations, we will manually time. What does a fun run mean?

This means participants are welcome to run or walk at their own pace, with or without a costume, simply show up, enjoy the course, and have a great time. Our events are designed to be inclusive, fun, and stress-free, allowing everyone to participate in the way that feels best for them. Please note that we do not host formal awards ceremonies. While some events may acknowledge overall male and female finishers, this recognition is not guaranteed and may vary by race. Our primary focus is creating a positive, community-centered experience where enjoyment comes first.Do I need to dress up?

Yup!My shirt doesn't fit, can I exchange it?

Yes, but not until after the race. We preorder race shirts based on the sizing requests during registration. In order to make sure that all participants can get the size that they originally requested, we don’t offer exchanges until postrace at the finish line area. I'm more of a walker. Can I still participate? Yes! If you need additional time to complete the course, please inform us in advance and we will be happy to arrange an early start for you. Our goal is to ensure that every participant feels supported and has a positive experience, regardless of pace. Are strollers/dogs allowed? Leashed dogs are welcome; however, we kindly ask that you remain mindful of fellow participants. For the safety and comfort of all, please start toward the back of the group and remember to clean up after your pet. Please note that some sections of the course are narrow and may not be suitable for strollers—use at your own discretion. We ask that participants with strollers also begin at the back of the starting line. There is no entry fee for babies in strollers; however, they will not receive a finisher’s medal unless a paid registration is completed on their behalf. Will you have a water station? Are you a "cupless" race?

For the safety of all participants, we strongly prefer that headphones not be worn during the event. Being fully aware of your surroundings allows you to hear course instructions, traffic, and other participants, helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. I signed up for Virtual option, what are the details?

You complete the race on your own route—your neighborhood, a treadmill, a trail, a park—anytime within a set window. Do NOT show up for the race on race day. You track your activity using a phone app, GPS watch, or treadmill readout. You submit your results online on RunSignUp. You still get the swag: a medal, bib & other goodies will be mailed to you. NO SHIRT is included. We will mail once we get the medals delivered to us. The vibe is flexible and low-pressure. There’s no official start horn, no crowds, and no worrying about pace—you race yourself. Do your races benefit anything?

Sometimes. Please check specific race for more information. Are you accepting shoe donations?

Yes! We accept gently-used shoe donations. We ship to GotSneakers. Any proceeds go directly to the Everett Animal Shelter. Are your races just for women?
