Whether you're racing for time or enjoying the beautiful surroundings with family and friends, this event promises a memorable experience.

Pacer

Pacers will be available for the Half Marathon and 10 km events to help runners achieve their target times. Each pacer will carry a flag to be easily identifiable.

    Entries for all Run Port Douglas events close at 6:00pm Friday, 4 September 2026Registration ALL runners must register for the run event of their choice and collect their registration envelope (including timing BIB) from the Registration area. Please present your QR code from your entry confirmation email or Photo ID (eg. Drivers License, Passport, Student ID). You MUST pick up your registration pack on Thursday in Cairns or on Friday in Port Douglas. IMPORTANT: NO REGISTRATION PACKS CAN BE COLLECTED ON RACE DAY.     Your registration envelope will include: Race bib (personalised up until 8 July 2026) Timing chip is part of the race bib 4 safety pins to attach race bib to the front of your running top Bag Tag used to identify you when collecting your bag from the secure bag drop area at the finish line How do I determine what Speed Zone to select? During your training and preparation for the event have a look at your average speed for a similar distance and use this average to determine your starting wave group.     You’re welcome to run with a pram in any of the distances. However, out of courtesy to other participants, we kindly ask that you start from the back of the field.Bag Drop in Port Douglas for 21.1km Half Marathon, 10km Run & 5km Run There will be a bag drop service for runners participating in the 21.1km Half Marathon, 10km Run and 5km Run. One small bag only can be dropped off to the Bag Drop marquee next to the Start arch on Saturday 5 September 2026, prior to the start. Please attach the Bag Drop runner number label (supplied in your registration envelope) to the outside of the bag and clearly visible. Your bags will be available for collection from the Bag Drop area at The Port Douglas Surf Club. Please ensure you are wearing your race bib with your matching runner number to the label on your bag. There will be no bag drop for the 2km Run/Walk. Is there transport from Cairns & Palm Cove to the start line in Port Douglas?

On course Aid Stations? There will be multiple Aid Stations spread across the course. Each Aid Station will provide: Winners electrolyte hydration Water Winners Energy Gels (21.1km & 10km only) Premax sunscreen Are there cut-off times? Cut-off times 21.1km Half Marathon: There is an overall cut off time of 4 hours 45mins; with no interim cut-off times 10km Run: There is an overall cut off time of 3 hours; with no interim cut-off times 5km Run: There is an overall cut off time of 1 hours 30 minutes; with no interim cut-off times 2km Run/Walk: Participants will have 45 minutes to complete the 2km run/walk Emergency and Event Contacts Ambulance, Police, Fire: 000 Emergency Hotline: 0455 261 555 Event Hotline: 0455 261 555 These numbers are also listed on your race bib. There will be an ambulance on course along with a designated first aid response team with two vehicles on course. Emergency medical staff will be clearly identified with high-vis vests and name tags. When you cross the timing finish line on Four Mile Beach you will be welcomed by our team of volunteers who will present you with your finishers medal. The Recovery Lawn area with an outdoor shower to cool down, change rooms, food trucks, and more will be at the finish area. A magical spot to finish such an amazing running/walking experience! There will also be Winners electrolyte hydration, water, and food available. What is the weather like in September? Renowned as a favourite time of year to visit, September brings warm, but not too warm temperatures, gorgeous sunshine and a low chance of rainfall. September is also the lowest humidity for the year. So, while the rest of Australia defrosts from their chilly winter months, you can enjoy riding, swimming, sunbathing and snorkelling in beautiful Port Douglas.
