STARBALM Strandlopen is a Dutch beach running event series held over 10 Thursday evening sessions from mid-June to mid-August on the beaches of Noordwijk, featuring 2 km, 4 km, and 8 km distances. It combines competitive timing for class members with casual participation, offering a festive beach atmosphere with on-course support and post-race awards.
Verpflegung & Versorgung
Water stations along the course; final finish area provides light refreshments (drinks/snacks).
Pacer
Pacemakers are provided for several target finish times announced on the "Renntag voor Laufende" schedule; pacer groups are identified by colored flags and designated start waves to help runners maintain goal pace.

FAQ
Who can participate (age categories and rules)?
Open to all ages: 2 km and 4 km for everyone; 8 km recommended for ages 12+. Class members must choose one announced distance and stick with it, though switching to a shorter distance on the day is possible (do not cross the timing mat after shortening). Loose-lopers may choose any distance on arrival.
How is timing handled (chip timing, results, times)?
Class members receive a chip (€10 refundable bond) for electronic timing at the finish; results are published online the next day. Loose-lopers are not timed.
What are the costs and what’s included in the entry fee?
Costs: Loose-lopers €3–4; Class members €16–27 (depends on distance and member type). What’s included: race participation, post-finish celebration, optional technical shirt (€5). Borg for chip refundable after final race.
