STEC Lite is an entry-level racing series at Tierp Arena focused on education and accessible racing, using standard cars with minimal modifications and shared costs. It serves as the stepping stone to full STEC Racing (A‑B‑C classes) and includes training, license issuance, and multiple race formats.
Pacer
Pacer vehicles and specific pacings are defined per training session and race wave in the event PM; drivers follow guided pace behind the pacer and must not overtake without authorization. Pacer flags and onboard VSC (Virtual Safety Car) ensure safe, evenly spaced racing. Refer to the session‑specific PM for start windows and pacer behavior rules.

What is STEC Lite?
STEC Lite is the education and entry-level racing format. It uses standard road cars with limited modifications, keeps costs low, and focuses on learning, licensing, and coaching before progressing to full STEC endurance racing.
Who can participate?
Drivers 14+ (14–17 need guardian consent); no prior license required. Suitable for newcomers and those returning to motorsport.
What equipment is required?
Full-face helmet, HANS/nackkrage, gloves, appropriate shoes, and a one-piece racing suit (rental available). Car tech requirements are minimal and listed in the event PM.
How are prices structured?
Fixed training-day packages (2/4/6 hours) at 1000 kr/hour; includes transponder, insurance, car tech check, and coaching. Race entries may carry additional fees (e.g., 1500 kr for Time-Attack).
Is racing experience needed?
No. Coaching and walkthroughs are provided; instructors assist with car control, braking points, and pace building.
What happens after STEC Lite?
Drivers can progress to STEC Racing A/B/C classes, which share the same technical rules and safety standards, and can enter longer endurance events.
