The TC10K is a certified 10K race bringing the community together — from the start line downtown to ocean views along Dallas Road. It features multiple distances, family-friendly options, and is recognized by Athletics Canada and World Athletics.

Verpflegung & Versorgung

Aid stations and refreshments provided by Thrifty Foods and partners along the TC10K course. The Thrifty Foods Family Run includes post-race snacks for participants.

Pacer

Pacers will be available for the TC10K to help runners maintain target times per Start Corral. Refer to the event’s Start Line Procedure and Race Day Information for pacer flags, assigned start times, and guidelines. Pacers are there to support safe, steady pacing for all participants.

When is the registration deadline?

The last day to register online is April 25th at 2:00 PM.If you miss the online registration deadline, don't worry! You can still register at the Race Package Pickup on Saturday, April 25th from 2pm to 6pm

What time does the TC10K and Thrifty Foods Family Run start?

The TC10K starts at 8:15am.The Thrifty Foods Family Run starts at 10:45am.Start Line Procedure is available HERE.

Does the TC10K have a time limit?

Yes, there is a time limit. All participants have 2.5 hours to complete the course – approx. a 15:00 min/km pace.

Is the TC10K 'chip' timed?

Yes, we use Race Result bib tag timing system provided by Sportstats West.

When and where is the Race Package Pickup?

Race Package Pickup will take place at Uptown Shopping Centre (3440 Saanich Rd, Victoria, BC V8Z 0B9). Times of Pickup will be as follows;Thursday, April 23: 3pm - 6pm (Team Captains ONLY).Friday, April 24: 11am – 7pm.Saturday, April 25: 10am – 6pm.Virtual Participants will have the choice of Mailing Out there race packet (Canada Post mailing fees apply), or they can pick up their race packet.Team Package Pickup:The team captain is responsible for picking up the package for their team, including shirts and bibs, on Thursday, April 23, and will then organize distribution of the items with the team prior to the race.If your team did not qualify by March 30th, you will need to pick up your race package as an individual on Friday, April 24, or Saturday, April 25.

RE/MAX Team Experience - Race Day Information

Joining a team in the RE/MAX Team Experience adds a fun, collaborative element to the TC10K or Thrifty Foods Family Run. Teams that reach 10 or more members by March 30th will qualify and enjoy the exclusive perk of having their team name or logo featured on the back of their event shirts. Does the TC10K have an Elite Athlete program?

Yes, athletes who have qualifying time standards may be eligible for complimentary entries and travel assistance. More details: HERE.

Start Lines - Race Day Information

The TC10K start line will be located at the corner of Superior St. and Menzies St.Please line up according to your estimated finishing time, as indicated on the start line flags, which will match your bib. Be sure to review our start line map ahead of race day for guidance.For safety and to minimize congestion, strollers and walkers must start in the final corral.The Thrifty Foods Family Run start line will be located at the corner of Menzies St. and Quebec St.

Where can I park my bicycle or other micromobility vehicle on Race Day?

The Locker (by Capital Bike) : A parking service for bicycles, scooters, one-wheels, or whatever micromobility vehicle you use.How does it work ?Follow our signs to bike parking.When you arrive, we’ll check your bike with our tag system.When you return, we’ll Exchange your tag for your bike and belongings.Location: At the start line, at the corner of Superior St. and Menzies St. in the grassy area where the James Bay Market is typically held.Time: From 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Are there awards in the in-person 10K or virtual races?

We will not be offering awards for individual participants.However, if you are part of the RE/MAX Team Experience, there are three awesome awards up for grabs:Team with the Most MembersTeam with the Highest FundraisingTeam with the Best Race Results

Fees, Transfer and Cancellation Policy

Registration:Online registration closes at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 25th, 2026.On-site Registration will be available at Race Package Pickup on Friday, April 24th and Saturday, April 25th. Please note, there will be no registration available on race day.A processing fee will be charged at check out.All funds payable in Canadian dollars.Cancellation:Registrations are non-refundable.Transfer:Online transfer requests will be accepted until March 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM. A $5 fee applies.After March 30, transfers must be completed in person at Race Package Pickup. Please note that any changes made to registrations after this date will not be reflected on your race bib.If you would like to transfer to a team after March 30, this must be done at Race Package Pickup. You will still receive a race shirt; however, it will not include the team logo, as team shirts will have already been produced.If you are switching into a new distance, the original registration and product amount paid will be applied as a credit towards the new registration. What is the TC10K distance and is it certified?

The distance of the event is 10K, and will certified by Athletics Canada and World Athletics (IAAF).

Are walkers, wheelchairs and strollers allowed?

Walkers: Yes, walkers are encouraged to participate. All walkers should enter 2:00 hours as your finishing time.Wheelchairs: Athletes requiring the use of a wheelchair are welcome to participate.If you are using a racing wheelchair with three wheels, please email us at: info@runsport.caIf you are using a four-wheeled chair, or a recreational wheelchair, please enter your true estimated finishing time when you register.The use of hand cranks, levers, motors or mechanical gears (e.g hand cycles) are not permitted. Please see the International Paralympic Committee’s Athletics Rules and Regulations for more details.Strollers: Yes, strollers are welcome at both our Thrifty Foods Family Run 1.5K and TC10K route. Children in the stroller do not require a race bib as long as they stay in the stroller during the race. Participants with a stroller MUST REGISTER for the 10K course in the 1:30 time category for the safety of the children and our other participants.

TC10K Road Race Guide Dog & Service Dog Policy

RunSport is delighted you or a friend are considering joining us in the TC10k by participating in a Guide Dog Team, Service Dog Team or Dog in Training Team. We are happy to support all guide and service dog teams who wish to experience the fun of our community event. In order to make sure the event is safe and fun for everyone, we ask that Guide Dog Teams, Service Dog Teams, or Dog in Training Team follow a few simple guidelines before and during the event.Pre-Race Requirements:Documentation: Participants must submit current certification confirming the participant is a member of a certified Guide Dog Team, Service Dog Team, or Dog in Training Team.Race Day Conditions:Starting Position: Participants with service dogs will start at the rear of the race.Time Limit Compliance: Completion of the race within the 2½ hour time limit is mandatory for all participants. This is to ensure safety, as roads will be reopened post time limit.Identification: Service Dogs must wear identification.Waste Management: Handlers are responsible for cleaning up after their service animals. Carrying disposable poop bags is advised.Leash and Harness: Service animals must be on a non-retractable leash, less than 6 feet in length, and wear a harness at all times.Handler Responsibility: Constant control over the service dog is required. Failure to maintain control will result in removal from the race course.Documentation Submission:Please send copies of the necessary documents to operations@tc10k.ca at least one week prior to the event.For any additional information or questions regarding the TC10K Road Race Guide Dog & Service Dog Policy Policy, please contact our race committee. We are committed to accommodating all participants.

Would there be post-race massage on race day?

Yes, courtesy of Pursuit Physiotherapy, there will be massage therapists, physiotherapists, and chiropractors available on race day at the Massage Tent on the Legislative grounds.
