A community 5K benefiting United Against Poverty, held on Thanksgiving Day in Riverside Park, Vero Beach, featuring live music, a sweet potato pancake breakfast, and awards.
Sweet potato pancake breakfast after the finish line with all the fixings, served by Marsh Landing Restaurant and Saussie Pig.
The race is professionally timed. Top overall and age-group winners are recognized on the awards podium. Pacers may be present for pace groups—check the event page or registration materials for current pacer details.

Each registration includes a commemorative race T-shirt (first 1,800 registrants), a sweet potato pancake breakfast after the race, professionally timed results, and recognition for top finishers.
The first 1,800 registered participants will receive a commemorative 2026 Trot Against Poverty race shirt.
Unfortunately, refunds or transfers are not available for registration changes.
Sign up as part of a team to receive discounts: the first three team members pay full price; after four register, each additional registrant receives a $5 discount.

The route starts on the West Side of Riverside Park, winds along park pathways and closed public streets, and finishes back on the West Side near the Grand Pavilion, passing the Indian River, Vero Beach Museum of Art, Riverside Theatre, Riverside Children’s Theatre, and under the Merril P. Barber Bridge.
Early packet pick-up is available Tuesday, November 24 and Wednesday, November 25, 10:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. at the UP Center, 1400 27th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960. Packet pick-up is also available on race day before the start.
Yes, walkers of all skill levels are welcome; please start at the back of the group and leave room for others to pass.

No, there is no official bag check; please bring only essentials and leave valuables at home.
The race will take place rain or shine.
To raise funds and awareness for United Against Poverty, whose mission is to inspire and empower people living in poverty to lift themselves and their families to economic self-sufficiency.
Net funds from registrations, participant fundraising, and sponsorships all benefit United Against Poverty's community programs.

Awards are presented for top overall male and female finishers, top master male and female finishers, top stroller division finisher, and top three youth (9 & under, 10–14, 15–19, 20–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, 70–74, 75–79, 80+ years old).
