In 2019 we will be joined by professional photographers from Raven Imagery. Race photos will be available for purchase on their website after the event: www.ravenimagery.co.uk The Dedham Run will also be taking photos and recording video during the event both along the courses and on The Duchy Playing Field. These images and video may be used by the Dedham Run to share news about the event and to publicise future events. Images may be used in press releases, printed publicity and published on the Dedham Run’s website. If you would prefer for you or your child not to be photographed, or would like us to delete any such image published on our website, please email the team at dedhamrun@gmail.com. How do I collect my race number? Race numbers (and for the 10k runners, the timing chip) are to be collected on the day from 9am to 10.30am at the registration tables outside the cricket pavilion on the village playing field (The Duchy Field). Parking is not available at The Duchy Field. See the FAQ on parking directions for further detail. Where can I find parking? The main options for car parking in Dedham are as follows: Mill Lane Car Park. Capacity 127. Full details can be found here: http://www.colchester.gov.uk/milllane Mill Pond Car Park. Capacity 24. Full details can be found here: http://www.colchester.gov.uk/millpond Field Car Park (CO7 6AD – corner of Brook Street). Capacity 1,000. This will be sign-posted “Event Parking” and will be closed at 1.30pm. There is no parking on The Duchy Field and no vehicular access via Southfields or The Drift. We also request all participants AVOID parking on Manningtree Road as this causes congestion around the road closure and jeopardises the safety of the runners. Can I run with headphones? No. The use of headphones will result in disqualification. This is for your safety. ...need...water....? 10K: there are three water stations along the 10k route 3K: there is one water station for the fun run In addition, cups of water are also available at the finish line Can I run with a buggy? Runners who wish to do so may run with an infant in a buggy. Be aware that the 3k does include a stretch along a farm track so an off-road buggy would be recommended. Can dogs run the race? No, except for registered guide dogs. Can I defer my entry? If you can’t make the run and it is too late or you don’t want to transfer then you can defer your entry to the following year’s event. Am I able to enter on the day? Limited entries are available on race-day for an additional handling fee. Look for the registration tables on The Duchy Field outside the cricket pavillion. Cost of race-day registration is £22 for the 10k and £7 for the 3k. Race-day entries must be submitted by 10.30am. Are there changing facilities? Unfortunately there are no changing facilities available on the day. There are public toilets on the playing field opposite the childrens’ playground, and there will be portable toilets near the pavilion. Can any age runner enter? No upper age limit in either run. For the 10km race the minimum age is 15yrs on the day of the event. For the 3km fun run, anyone under 9yrs must be accompanied by an adult (see FAQ “Can children under 9yrs participate in the 3K Fun Run?

Yes, but in order to assist St Johns Ambulance we request that runners who will walk the course do not enter. Rear car available in 10k race, if lift needed. Can I transfer my race number to someone else? As long as race entry is open, you can transfer your entry to someone else using this form. Please note it is a condition of the race that you run with your own name and number. If you can’t make the run and it is too late or you don’t want to transfer then you can defer your entry to the following year’s event. What terrain does this race have? Undulating; mostly flat but a 1km long hill, and another shorter hill. Where can I view the results? All Results will be available on the website Can children under 9yrs participate in the 3K Fun Run? Runners under 9 yrs old are not permitted to form part of a UK Athletics road race, and will therefore not receive a run time or a race position in the 3K Fun Run. However, we do warmly invite under 9 yrs runners to participate with an adult family member or guardian, and we simply ask for a discretionary donation for the young runner. All runners must register for the run (which may be done on the website), and this includes young runners and any accompanying adult (standard fee for adults is applicable). All finishers will receive a medal upon completion. What is the Team Prize Formula? The team prize is non gender specific and is based on the top 4 club runners.
