The organiser provides transport by bus for participants and family/friends (bookable via Datasport - either when purchasing your starting place or retrospectively via the change link, which you will find in your registration confirmation email). Any remaining places will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. All information about bus times can be found on the shuttle service page.
Tickets for the shuttle can be purchased via Datasport – either when you purchase your starting place or later via the change link found in your registration confirmation email. The bus tickets are on your bib number; no separate ticket will be sent. The option to book buses online closes as stated in the information about the buses. After online booking for buses has closed, a limited number of tickets can still be purchased at the information point when you collect your bib number (please note: limited availability when purchasing on the race weekend, tickets cannot be guaranteed).
For GWT and GGT, we offer two types of supply stations: one type with drinks only and one type as a basic supply station. For GGUT and OTT, we also offer a hot meal at two basic supply stations (supply station + hot meal). On the altitude profile for each route, you will find a list of locations and the number of supply stations per race. Only participants who are wearing their bib number visibly, and who have been checked will have access to the supply stations. Further information on supplies can be found here.
No, supplies must be consumed within the supply station.
You can follow the races via GGUT Live, Datasport Live Tracking or in the GGUT App. With our GGUT Studio, we offer you more than 24 hours of GGUT live coverage. Find more details on our live tracking page.
You must deregister at the supply station or information point in the finish area! Participants who violate this obligation will be responsible for any costs incurred in a search operation. Except in the case of injury or exhaustion, participants may only abandon the competition at supply stations. At all supply stations (basic and large), the organiser will arrange transport for participants who give up or do not make the time limits.
The checkpoint must be left BEFORE or at the latest exactly at the time limit. Consumption and/or staying at the checkpoint is not permitted after the time limit.
Further information on the minimum equipment can be found under ‘Mandatory equipment’. Every participant is required to carry the mandatory equipment (additional mandatory equipment may be specified by the organiser). Mandatory equipment is minimum equipment (!) that each participant must adapt to their own needs. It is important not to choose equipment based on weight (as light as possible to carry a few grams less), but to take clothing that provides the best protection against cold, wind and snow in the mountains, thus offering the greatest safety and performance. Do not forget that various circumstances related to the environment and the competition may delay the arrival of help. In this case, your safety may depend on the items you carry with you.
Taking out insurance is the responsibility of the participant. Every runner must have personal accident insurance. This must cover the costs of rescue and recovery (especially helicopter) as well as medical treatment. The organiser takes out liability insurance for the duration of the competition. This liability insurance covers the financial consequences of the event and its helpers.
Third-party personal support for participants is only permitted at the supply stations. Being accompanied by an unregistered person during the race, even for a short time, is not permitted. Accompaniment is only permitted near the supply stations, at the specially marked locations.
