Yes, the Line Dance AlpFestival will take place again in Zell am See-Kaprun in 2026. The dates are 18-21 June 2026 - we are looking forward to seeing you!

The marquee of the Line Dance AlpFestival is located at the car park Maiskogel directly in Kaprun, next to the Baumbar: Sigmund-Thun-Straße, 5710 Kaprun.

A limited number of parking spaces are available directly next to the event site. Most accommodations in Kaprun are within walking distance; there are public bus services between Zell am See and Kaprun for your arrival.

Where can I get something to eat and drink?

Accepted Answer

You can buy various drinks and food directly at the festival site. In addition, there are numerous restaurants within walking distance of the Line Dance AlpFestival directly in the centre of Kaprun.

I would like to take a souvenir - is that possible?

Accepted Answer

There are some exhibitors/traders of various line dance articles at the event site. You can also buy other souvenirs in the centre of Kaprun.

Is it possible to make table reservations for the marquee?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, table reservations are not possible for organisational reasons. As in previous years, groups are free to choose their seats - those who arrive at the marquee earlier have, of course, the biggest choice. However, larger groups should not be a problem due to the available seating at beer tables. Please note that the organiser of the Line Dance AlpFestival will remove reservation signs and notes placed by individuals or groups themselves.

I would like to come to the Line Dance AlpFestival with my family and children. Is this possible?

Accepted Answer

Please note that this is not a children's event, as the live music in the marquee can be loud and the programme runs until around midnight. Therefore, we would not recommend visiting the Line Dance AlpFestival with children.

I would like to bring my dog to the Line Dance AlpFestival. Is that possible?

Accepted Answer

The concert atmosphere, hustle and bustle, and noise are not for four-legged friends. Out of respect for animals, dogs are not allowed on the event area and the marquee. We ask for your understanding.

How can I register for the Line Dance World Record Attempt on 20 June 2026?

Accepted Answer

You can purchase two different ticket categories for the Line Dance AlpFestival 2026. To take part in the world record attempt you need purchase the weekend ticket "with world record" which contains the world record attempt. You can find the tickets here.

The world record attempt will take place on the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See.

How do I get to the World Record Attempt?

Accepted Answer

If you purchased the tickets with the world record attempt, the transport by bus and the gondola ride is included. Directly at the festival site shuttle busses are waiting for you to take you to the valley station “trassXpress” in Zell am See. From there, you take the gondola and a 5 to 10-minute walk to the world record site. You also have the possibility to drive with your own car to the trassXpress valley station and use the free parking facilities.

What dress code do I have to follow to take part in the World Record Attempt?

The regulations include 3 items of clothing. All dancers must be dressed in jeans, cowboy boots and a cowboy hat! Deviations such as Tyrolean hats, riding boots or denim skirts are not permitted. Unfortunately, Authentic Old Western Clothing is also not permitted for the world record.

Which dances do I have to learn for the World Record Attempt?

Accepted Answer

No dances need to be learned in advance. The aim of the world record attempt is to study a choreography together and then to audition it. No dances need to be learned in advance.

Where can I learn the choreography for the AlpFestival Signature Song 2025?

Accepted Answer

The choreography will be presented at the world record site and rehearsed together. Immediately after the lesson, the complete choreography must be shown in a dance performance without errors. As a beginner, can I also take part in the World Record Attempt?

The choreography for the highest Country & Western Line Dance workshop is suitable and feasible for everyone from beginners to experts and won’t have more than 32 counts.

Are accompanying persons able to watch the World Record Attempt?

Accepted Answer

You can join the world record attempt as a spectator. However, you need to reach the world record venue on your own. You can either take your car or public transportation via bus 660 to reach the valley station “trassXpress”. Afterwards you need to get yourself a ticket for the gondola to reach the world record site and cheer on the participants. Please note that ONLY PARTICIPANTS and officials are allowed onto the site during the world record attempt. This is due to the fact that the participants have to be counted precisely by a record institute.

How can I use the public transportation and the gondola for free if I am not participating in the world record attempt?

Where can I get tickets for the Line Dance Alpfestival?

Tickets are available online and can be printed out directly at home. With the ticket in print or digital version you will get the wristband at the box office. The wristband for the weekend must be worn on the wrist throughout the festival period. If the wristband is too tight for you, please let us know and we will remove it and give you a new wristband. If the tickets are still available, they can also be purchased at the box office on site. Please note, however, that due to safety and official regulations we are not allowed to issue any further tickets if the marquee is full or sold out.

The early bird ticket gives you a discount if you buy the ticket by 7 October 2024. After this early bird period, the tickets are available at the regular price.

I can’t buy the number of tickets I want through the portal, what should I do?

Accepted Answer

The ticket sales portal allows a maximum purchase of 10 tickets per transaction, so the remaining tickets must be purchased in a second transition. If you need the tickets in combination with accommodation, you can order a package directly from the tourism association Zell am See-Kaprun. In that way, the weekend tickets for the Line Dance AlpFestival and accommodation in the desired category are included.

I already bought my ticket – Am I already registered for the world record attempt?

If you purchased a ticket "with world record", you are automatically registered to participate in the world record attempt. There is no need to register separately to participate in the world record attempt.
