Since 1982, the Little River Trail Run has challenged thousands of participants on the Kansas prairie. The 10K loop crosses creeks, rolls through native grassland, and includes the famed Suicide Hill out-and-back, finishing on Main Street with awards and a post-race celebration.

Pacer
Pace groups align with 10K and 5K races; timed start waves and pacer flags on race day (see event schedule). Pacers run even-paced support to help participants meet target times.

What distances are offered?
10K run, 5K run, 10K fun walk, and the three-person Pony Express Relay covering the 10K course.
When and where does the event take place?
Race day is the last week of May; event starts on Main Street in Little River, Kansas (2025: October 25, 9:00 a.m. start times vary by distance).
Are prizes awarded?
Top 10K male and female winners receive a cow chip; medals in age categories; $50 bonus for any new course record in 5K, 10K, or Pony Express.
What is the parking and registration process?
All registration, information, and starts occur on Main Street. Arrive early for your wave; registration ends 30 minutes before each start.
