The Mastondon race takes place on the scenic BLM trail network in Tumalo, Oregon. Runners can enjoy beautiful views of the Deschutes River and the mountains of Central Oregon, making this an excellent early season event on a relatively flat course.
An aid station at approximately 4.25 miles will provide water and gels. Participants are encouraged to bring their own cup to reduce waste.
The race starts at 9 AM sharp and will have pacing options available for participants aiming to manage their speed effectively throughout the event.

Packet pickup is at the FootZone (842 NW Wall Street, Bend, Oregon 97703) on Saturday February 28th, from 12pm-5:00pm. Our race staff appreciates you picking up your bib at the store, please email if you need special accommodations. We will offer day of race packet pick-up starting at 7:30 am at the start/finish area.

The start line is at Maston trailhead off Newcomb Road.~ 20135 Newcomb Rd, Redmond, OR 97756
The best place to park is at Maston Trailhead, please follow the directions of our race staff/parking folks. Please DO NOT park along Newcomb Road. Please KEEP tires on gravel, do NOT park in natural areas.
There is plenty of space for friends and family at the start/finish area. Our sponsors will also be on-site, be sure to check them out. We ask you avoid having spectators go out on course as there is not much space on many of the single track segments. This is NOT a closed course and while we have alerted the mountain biking community of a high use time, please be courteous and share the trail should you encounter bikers or other trail users while out on course.
There is ONE aid stations at approximately ~ 4.25 miles with Water and gels. In an effort to be more environmentally conscious we are trying to minimize our trash and use of single serving cups— please consider carrying a re-usable cup.
Yes, While we appreciate everyone using a re-useable cup we’ll have cups of water available. We want to minimize our impact and let’s face it, its tough to haul additional garbage in/out so if you can carry your own cup we’d sure appreciate it. On that note, please dispose of any personal trash at an aid station, if you see an errant wrapper consider picking it up =)
We ask that anyone who believes it will take them longer than 2.75 hours (16:30 min/mile) to notify us in advance to make special arrangements to fully enjoy your experience.
YES! Adventure Medics will be on-site and roving the course on mountain bikes to assist if something unforeseen happens. They will be on hand to locate, treat and transport you should you face an emergency. It is always quickest for them to find you and deliver help if you can make it to an aid station.
No, The porta-potties at the start/finish area is your best bet.

We’ll have a brief awards ceremony recognizing the top 3 overall Women and Men as well as the top 3 Masters Men and Women!
While we love our furry friends, dogs ARE NOT ALLOWED on the course with registered participants.
We ask that you consider wearing only one earbud and keeping volume low such that you can hear safety instructions and be aware of other trail runners/users on course.
