The RT66 Road Race is part of the Texas Route 66 Centennial Festival Finale, marking 100 years of the Mother Road. Organized with Get Fit Amarillo and Transformation Park, the event offers distances for every pace—5K, 10K, 1-Mile Race, and 1-Mile Walk—supported by live music, local sponsors, and post-race festivities.
Pacer
Pacemakers will lead seeded start waves on the 5K and 10K at target times shown on the event schedule (7:30 AM for the 1-Mile Race, 8:00 AM for the 10K, and 8:15 AM for the 5K). Pacers display identifying flags to help runners maintain target pace; aim to be near the front of your start wave to stay with your designated pacer.
