The Run to Home Base offers individuals and teams a unique opportunity to participate in a 9K run or 5K run/walk while fundraising to support our mission! The race routes weave through some of Boston's most scenic neighborhoods and ends with participants crossing home plate at historic Fenway Park.

Verpflegung & Versorgung

Water stations will be located along the routes and additional water will be available at the finish line.

Pacer

Pacing will be available for both the 5K and 9K events. Participants can check the official website for target times and pacer flags.

Contact our team at support@runtohomebase.org. What time is the Run to Home Base on Saturday, July 25? In-Person at Fenway Park We are currently finalizing the official start time. Please stay tuned for more details! Virtually Run at the official start time, or whenever it fits into your schedule! Is parking available at Fenway Park? Parking near Fenway Park is limited so we encourage you to take public transportation whenever possible, or carpool! Information on parking passes will be made available soon. For participants who plan to drive, please use parking apps (e.g. SpotHero) or visit the Fenway Park Parking page here to view a Fenway area parking lot map. Please plan for delays with road closings throughout the area and parking queues. How can I get to the race site? The start and finish of the race is at Fenway Park! Entrance will only be available at Gate C on Lansdowne Street. For public transportation, take the B, C, or D Green Lines to Kenmore Square and follow signs to Fenway Park. Visit mbta.com for complete public transportation information. Parking near Fenway is limited so we encourage you to take public transportation whenever possible, or carpool! Are there restroom facilities at the race location? Yes, there are restrooms located inside Fenway Park and portable toilets will be available along the race course. Will water be available during the race? Yes, there will be water stations located along the routes and additional water at the finish line. See our 9K and 5K routes! Can I rollerblade / roller skate / bike in the race? No - rollerblades , roller skates, skateboards, scooters , and bikes are not allowed anywhere on the course or at Fenway Park due to safety concerns. If you require an assistive device (e.g. wheelchair, handcycle, duo), please contact support@runtohomebase.org Are baby strollers allowed on the race routes? Strollers are not permitted on the race routes and are prohibited from the field / warning track. Can I bring my pet to the race? No. We love pets, but we are unable to accommodate them at the event. We do allow an exception for service animals. The service animal must be trained, accredited, and wear the proper identification at all times during the race. Please contact support@runtohomebase.org for more information! Can I ruck the race? Yes, we do allow individuals to ruck, but you may be asked to leave your ruck sack outside of Fenway Park. If you are considering rucking, please email us at support@runtohomebase.org before the race so we can give you any additional information needed. Can I bring a bag with me? Note: there are no bag storage facilities at Fenway Park. Bags must be single-compartment and no larger than 12”x12”x6”. Backpacks, backpack-style purses duffle bags, and other multi-compartment bags are NOT permitted. Exceptions will be made for diaper bags and bags containing essential medical equipment or individuals who are rucking the course. More information can be found here. Can my family and friends come down to the field when I cross home plate? Family and friends are not permitted on the field, but they are welcome to come to Fenway Park and cheer you on from the stands! Fenway Park is open to the public on the morning of the Run to Home Base. How do I pick up my t-shirt and bib? For individuals Participating In-Person: Those who have registered and fulfilled their fundraising commitment by July 10, 2026 will receive a bib number, t-shirt, and hat at packet pick-up. Packet pick-up times and locations will be determined and announced in the coming months. If you are participating in-person, you must pick up your bib at packet pick-up and we cannot ship your packet out in advance. Should you not fulfill your fundraising commitment, you will be asked to do so before you can receive your bib number, t-shirt and hat at packet pick-up. For individuals Participating Virtually: Those who have registered and fulfilled their fundraising commitment by July 10, 2026 will receive their virtual race packet the week of the race. Should you fulfill your fundraising commitment after July 10, 2026, please email support@runtohomebase.org. Note that we will do our best to ship your items in time for the race, but we cannot ensure they will be shipped in time. Should you not fulfill your fundraising commitment, items will not be shipped to you. Do I have to wear my bib and official Run shirt? You may wear any shirt you wish but all participants must wear an official bib and number. If you do not, you may be asked by race officials and/or security to leave the course. Where do participants get their timing device? We will use a timing system that uses a disposable timing tag attached to your bib number. It eliminates the need to return the timing chips at the end of the race and eliminates lost timing chip fees. Please note that Walkers will receive a bib but will not receive a timing tag and will not be timed.
