Über die Veranstaltung

The Annual Chris Miller Memorial Steens Rim Run & Walk takes place on Steens Mountain in Southeast Oregon, offering a challenging high-elevation 10K with stunning rim and desert views. The race features nearly 2,000 feet of elevation gain and a high-altitude course on a maintained gravel road.

Verpflegung & Versorgung

Portable restrooms are available at the start, near mile 3, at the last turn before the finish (mile 5.9), and at the finish. Water and basic aid stations are provided on-course. Race-day weather can be extreme; bring layers and sun protection.

Pacer

Pacemakers will be present for the run divisions. On race day, runners should note start wave times: Walkers at 9:30 a.m. and Runners at 10:00 a.m. Follow pacers as directed on the course and at the start/finish areas.

Can I register online?

Yes — registration is available online, but only before August 1. Register early to guarantee your t-shirt and avoid day-of delays.

Can I register at the starting line the day of the race?

Yes, day-of registration is available between 7:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. Race shirt availability is not guaranteed for day-of registrants.

What time are the races?

The Walk begins at 9:30 a.m. and the Run begins at 10:00 a.m.

Are refunds available?

No. Race entry fees are non-refundable and bib numbers are not transferable to other runners or years.

What happens if I am unable to participate but want my t-shirt?

You may still pick up your packet and receive your participation t-shirt and swag at the starting line, or contact race organizers to arrange having it mailed to you.
