Pacer
Pacemakers will be available for the in-person walk at the listed county locations; target start waves align with the 8:00 am start at each venue. Pacers will lead participants at a steady, community-friendly pace suitable for all ages.

Can I join the race virtually?

Yes — this is a virtual race. You may run/walk any time during race day (8am–Midnight). Take a photo in your Extreme 5k Race Shirt and post with #extreme5k for a chance at $1,500 in cash prizes.

Is there an in-person walk option?

Yes. Join us in person at the county locations on 9-20-25 at 8:00am: Barren County (Dr. Mody at Beaver Trail walking park), Metcalfe County (Jessica Tucker & Teresa Shive at Edmonton Memorial Park), Adair County (Randy Burns at Jim Blair Community Center).

What should I wear?

Wear the Extreme 5k Race Shirt if you want to be eligible for virtual prize drawings. Comfortable walking or running attire and appropriate shoes are recommended.
